CRPF men honoured for gallantry services

CRPF men honoured for gallantry servicesNew Delhi, Aug 16, 2017: The Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday awarded 125 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Officers President’s Medals and Kirti Chakra, Shourya Chakra and President’s Police Medal for their gallantry services.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), Group Centre, of the Central, Sunil Joon honoured these police personnel at an Independence Day function at Greater Noida.

Sacrifices for freedom


Earlier, Mr. Joon hoisted the National Flag at the Group Centre campus while the national anthem played in the background. DIGP, Range Noida, K. Thomas Job gave away commendation certificates to the best personnel of the station.

In his address, Mr. Job emphasised the significance of the national festival and said that people “should remember the sacrifices of those who fought to give us freedom from British rule and now, the government has given us the responsibility of maintaining internal security and we must promise to serve the nation at any cost”.
